Meet the Staff
Lori
Lori has been with Barone Orthodontics since 1988. She is a National Board Certified Orthodontic Assistant through the Dental Assisting National Boards since 1991. In 2006, Lori became the Office Coordinator, managing both practices, North Providence and Smithfield. She feels a deep sense of reward knowing that she is responsible for all aspects of both offices running smoothly and efficiently along with the implementation of new systems, equipment and software. Lori feels very fortunate to be working for two doctors who show such care, compassion, loyalty and devotion to their patients.
Lori is certified in dental radiology and CPR. She also holds certificates in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Phlebotomy and EKG technology. Lori attends numerous educational courses to keep abreast of latest technology and software, along with the newest orthodontic techniques.
Lori has a son, Michael, and lives with her husband, Gene. They have two dogs, Mollie and Lola, and five cats, Sweetie, Jack, Ava, Willey and Cyrus. They also have 6 chickens who they call "The Girls". Some of Lori's favorite hobbies are hiking, golf, camping and is an active member of the Ocean State Jeepsters. Spending quality time with her family and animals is a meaningful part of her life. Lori's favorite pastime is being an avid Patriots fan.
Donna
Donna joined Barone Orthodontics in 1987 as Treatment Coordinator. A graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, she has certificates in treatment coordinating, radiology, and CPR and has passed the Dental Assisting National Boards. Donna attends numerous professional development courses each year to stay current with the latest in orthodontic treatment. She embraces the challenges of working in an orthodontic practice and enjoys working as a team to care for patients and help them achieve healthy smiles that will last a lifetime. Donna feels that Dr. Barone's and Dr. Nick's gentle chair-side manner, acute attention to detail and dedication to providing patients with the full orthodontic experience makes our practice a special place to receive orthodontic care.
Donna and her husband, John, have two children and three grandchildren. When not spending time with her family, Donna enjoys cooking, volunteering, and becoming a black belt.
Marilyn
Marilyn has lived in North Providence all her life and has been married to her high school sweetheat, Anthony since 1972. She is a graduate of North Providence High School. She has been trained in the fabrication of plaster models, retainers and retainer repairs under the tutorage of Dr. Barone since the beginning of her employment in July, 1983, as a lab technician. She has attended classes in Connecticut for the use of the Biostar vacuum machine for fabrication of Essix retainers and Invisalign, as well as numerous continuing education classes. Since 2002, she has also been the receptionist.
Marilyn enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced office, appreciates the empowerment given to her by her office coordinator and the camaraderie of her co-workers. She admires Dr. Barone for his intelligence in his field, as well as in his other endeavors and appreciates his drive for perfection.
Marilyn has a daughter, Nicole, an event planner at South County Hospital. She also has twin granddaughters, Aurelia and Marlena, born October 31, 2011. She takes special interest in babysitting, gardening, knitting, and watching QVC and Fox News.
Imma
Imma has worked at Barone Orthodontics as a permanent part-time secretary since October, 1983. She enjoys the everyday challenges of her position, and her co-workers have become her special friends. She compliments Dr. Barone and Dr. Nick with striving for optimum results with patients, staff and office systems.
She is a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, is certified in Microsoft Word and has attended numerous continuing education courses over the years.
Imma is an avid Red Sox fan and enjoys spending time with her family: her son Anthony and his wife Gina, her son David and his wife Edwarda, and her two granddaughters, Brianna and Mya. She also has a granddog, "Toby", and a grandkitty, "Peaches".
She lives in Lincoln, RI, with her husband, Anthony.
Kathleen (Katie)
Katie joined Barone Orthodontics in 2010 as an Orthodontic Assistant. A graduate of Tolman High School, she received her dental assisting training at Lincoln Technical Institute and is a Certified Orthodontic Assistant through the Dental Assisting National Boards and is also certified in CPR. Katie enjoys meeting new patients and helping create brilliant smiles. She also finds she learns new things every day and greatly appreciates her co-workers' teamwork.
In her spare time, along with spending time with her boyfriend Arthur, Katie also enjoys reading, photography, writing, shopping and spending time with her family and friends. Katie also adores her mini aquatic frog, Edward.
Nicole
Nicole graduated from Smithfield High School and studied dental assisting at Lincoln Technical Institute. Nicole is a Certified Dental Assistant, Certified Orthodontic Assistant through the Dental Assisting National Boards and is also certified in CPR. She joined Barone Orthodontics in March, 2015. Nicole enjoys office marketing especially creating monthly contests for the patients to enjoy.
Nicole always tries to make time for quiet reading and creative hands-on projects at home. What she loves most is spending time with her husband Justin, son Jayden, and daughter Jocelyn doing seasonal activities or just keeping active outdoors.
Jessica
Jessica joined Barone Orthodontics in 2007 as an Orthodontic Assistant. A graduate of Johnston High School, Jessica received her certficate in dental assisting from Lincoln Technical Institute and is certified in radiology and CPR. She finds interaction with patients of all ages to be a great learning experience that she will carry with her through the years.
Jessica lives in Cranston with her husband Zack and stepdaughter Sophia. In her free time, she enjoys exercising and also spending time with her family and friends.
Keri
Keri joined Barone Orthodontics in December, 2013, as a Treatment Coordinator/Orthodontic Assistant. A graduate of Davies Career and Tech High School, Keri went on to complete Lincoln Tech Dental Assisting Program. She is CPR and radiology certified. Keri loves the interaction with patients and takes particular joy in seeing patients from the beginning of their orthodontic treatment to their final stages.
She resides in Lincoln with her daughter. In her spare time, Keri works as a hairdresser, enjoys being involved in the community and volunteering at her daughter's school. Keri also volunteers as a CCD teacher.
Diane
Diane joined Barone Orthodontics in 1977, when the practice opened, as a Comptroller. She is a graduate of Rhode Island College with double majors in business administration and psychology. Diane enjoys working in the orthodontic field and especially loves the way technology has been incorporated into the practice over the years to make treatment and administrative tasks more efficient.
Diane enjoys golfing, skiing and spending time with her grandchildren, Jacob, Emma and Lester.
Jennifer
Jennifer graduated from CCRI in the Dental Assistant Certification Program in 2015 with honors ans was the class vice president. She is a Certified Dental Assistant through the Dental Assisting national Boards. Jennifer is also certified in CPR and is a Certified Medical Assistant and has her associate degree in Science. Jennifer is an active member of the ADAA.
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys photography, music and yard word. Her favorite part of the night is watching funny You Tube videos with her three children and hearing their laughter.
Mireille
Mireille joined Barone Orthodontics in January, 2015. She is a graduate of Crosby High School in Waterbury, CT, and graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute in dental assisting. Mireille is a CNA and holds certificates in CPR and dental radiology.
Mireille resides in Woonsocket, RI, with her husband Jorge and their five children. She enjoys family time sitting around a bonfire eating s'mores and making up funny horror movies where everyone gets to add a little piece to the story. Mireille is all about famiy and friends. Making memories that last a lifetime is something very special and close to her heart.
